Good Day - Bad Day

Engine all plumbed in, wiring loom just laid on top of engine & plugged in.

A few small videos of the first start of the engine after fitting to the kit.

Then a couple of school boy errors!

Five minuets after putting in the fuel, the engine fired up on the first turn of the key! The engine run for approx 10 seconds & then petered out, I spent the next 5 hours trying to re-start it to no avail! The engine just sounds like its flooded but just won't start. I have tried all the usual new plugs, full throttle drying out the bores etc?

So today was the big day for fitting the

 Engine & Gearbox. 

The new Group N, Engine & Gearbox mounts arrived yesterday!

for sorting the mountings & getting them to me on-time!)

Rear coil-overs removed, ready for Engine & Gearbox.

2 & 1/2 hours later & a bit of a faff,

 I managed to get the engine in!

Gearbox nearly in.

All In, with new drive shafts fitted as well!

Brakes & Pannels

The brakes were bled a few days ago, so the car is now able to stop! 

(This may come in helpful at times)

Finally worked out how to finish/fit the GRP center piece.

Also removed the fuel pump from the Scooby, cleaned, painted & fitted

  

I have been slowly rebuilding the engine,

Powder Coating

Picked these up from 

the powder coaters today!

Sump, Inlet Manifold & Drive shafts.

Brake Pipes

Ok, 

So now I have done the Rear brake pipes, 

I should be able to get a brake pedal the next time I work on the car! 

GRP again!

Managed to fit two more bits of the body work on today!

These panels are taking a lot longer than expected.

Cambelt

Today I had a bit of time to remove old & fit new Cambelt & tensioner kit!

New Cambelt kit fitted,

Cambelt cover cleaned & sprayed

11:30pm, just got in from the garage but have  managed to fit the N/S Sill & as you can see I have kept with the red piping !

Gearbox

Gearbox has now been removed from

 the donor, then cleaned & painted!
